Together is better than alone

Two are better than one,

because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down,

his friend can help him up.

But pity the man who falls

and has no one to help him up!
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.

But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,

two can defend themselves.

A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

life is beautiful, fragile, fantastic, powerful, hard and wonderful.
recently a beautiful young woman i knew, who meant a lot to people who are close to me, ended her life in a tragic way... in our hearts we know she is with jesus.
this week I was reminded of the importance of friends. of having the power to break isolation and loneliness, for your own sake but more importantly for others.
friendship and fellowship is the most precious gift in life. never hesitate to tell your friends that you love them. do not leave all the things you appreciate and cherish about them unspoken. use the power you have been given to break through the walls of isolation around people and let your life be one constant ‘reaching out’ with the love of God.

Since you are reading this, you are probably my friend… Thank you for making my life better, crazier, richer, fuller, stronger, warmer, more adventurous, healthier and Godlier :)
